Are you wondering what the heck is Funko Pop? They are adorable little toys made of vinyl that have the ability of making even the nastiest character look adorable. These toys started finding their way onto toy store shelves and other places, such as book stores, in 2015 and they have become wildly popular.
Funko is a company that was founded in 1998 making bobbleheads. They must have seen the potential with vinyl, slightly cartoonish reproductions of popular movie and TV characters because that's mainly what they make today. Potterheads rejoiced when they found out that there are now Funko Pop Harry Potter figures!
Most Funko vinyl figures are small, measuring just shy of 4 inches tall. This makes them perfectly sized for your shelf or display cabinet because they won't take up much space.
I am adding new items to this page as Funko releases them so you can use this page as a Harry Potter Funko checklist, or to seek out the figure (or figures) that you just have to have and I'll show you where you can buy them.
10/28/2016 Update: Funko is now making Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them Pop! characters, which you can see here.
Pop! Wave 1 |
Wave one was released in 2015, starting in July. It is made up of nine packs, including two exclusives. |
01 - Harry Potter
There are two versions of Harry Potter, and this is one of them. Harry is dressed in his Gryffindor House robe, sweater, tie, and pants, and he is holding his wand. As you would expect, he has his legendary scar and round glasses, though his brown hair is just a touch tidier than how it is described in the books.
02 - Ron Weasley
Here is our favorite ginger, Ron Weasley. He is also dressed in his Gryffindor House robe and clothes and is holding his wand. I absolutely love the fact that Funko made sure to include the Spell-O tape that Ron used in his attempt to fix his broken wand from the second story. It shows that the people at Funko are paying attention to small details they know fans will appreciate.
03 - Hermione Granger
The Hermione vinyl toy is just adorable! (Shhh... Don't tell Hermione I said that because I'm pretty sure she would give me one of her looks if she knew.) Her brown hair is slightly wavy, almost frizzy, and her cheeks are rosy. Like the first Harry toy, Hermione is dressed in her Gryffindor clothes and she is holding her wand. She looks ready to take on any challenge that comes her way, but I'm sure she would like it better if she had a library to spend hours in.
04 - Albus Dumbledore
The Albus Dumbledore toy shows the Hogwarts headmaster dressed in a burgundy robe and hat. The hat has small gold stars that look magical! He has long grey hair and grey beard, along with his iconic half-moon glasses, and looks ready to watch over the young students of his school of witchcraft and wizardry. This version of Dumbledore resembles actor Richard Harris.
05 - Severus Snape
The Snape vinyl toy has the Potions Master dressed in his teaching robe and clothes. His hair is long, black, and straight, and it looks just a slight bit greasy, don't you think? Snape has his wand at the ready, possibly for use on Harry when no one is looking!
06 - Lord Voldemort
The Voldemort vinyl toy is a must-have addition to your Harry Potter Funko Pop collection! As you can see, Lord Voldemort is wearing his happy face. His skin is grey, giving him an alien look, and his nose is two slits, just like in the films. One thing you might not immediately notice is that Voldemort has a clearly defined mouth, but none of the others do (Dumbledore and Hagrid have mouth outlines, but only because of their beards). He is wearing his grey robe and holding his wand. Did you notice that Funko added a nice touch by including Voldemort's creepy long fingernails? Despite that fact he looks absolutely adorable! But don't tell him I said that or he might curse me...
07 - Rubeus Hagrid
The 6" Hagrid vinyl toy shows the Hogwarts Keeper of the Keys without his keys, but he does have his trusty pink umbrella. I'm sure that his beloved wand is hidden inside!
08 - Harry Potter, Quidditch
(Hot Topic Exclusive)
This is the second Harry Potter figurine, and this one shows Harry after catching the Golden Snitch during a Quidditch match. He is dressed in his game robe, outfit, and gloves, and he is his holding both his broom (I'm going to assume it's his Firebolt 2000) and the Snitch that he caught to win the game.
This is a Hot Topic exclusive.
09 - Harry Potter, Sword of Gryffindor
(Hot Topic Exclusive)
This is the third Harry Potter figure. It is identical to the first one (01) in every way except for what Harry is holding. In the original figure he was holding his wand, but in this one he is holding the Sword of Gryffindor.
This is a Hot Topic exclusive.
2 Pack - Harry Potter And Lord Voldemort
(FYE Exclusive)
This 2-pack includes Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort. These are the same characters that you can buy individually so if you don't yet have these two then you can get them together with this set.
This is an FYE exclusive.
3 Pack - Harry, Hermione, and Ron
Want Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley Funko toys? Make it easy on yourself and buy this three pack of the Hogwarts trio. These are the exact same dolls that you'll find in the individual packs, but they are sold together in one box.
Pop! Wave 2 |
Wave two was released in 2016, starting in March. It is made up of 14 packs, including three exclusives. |
10 - Harry Potter, Triwizard Tournament
This is the fourth Harry Potter figure. He is dressed in the clothing that he wore for the Triwizard Tournament, and he is holding his wand.
11 - Hermione Granger, Yule Ball
Remember how beautiful Hermione was when she came down the stairs where Viktor Krum was waiting for her at the beginning of the Yule Ball? Well, this version of Hermione is every bit as beautiful, right down to her curly hair and multi-colored dress. My favorite thing about this toy are her rosy cheeks.
12 - Ron Weasley, Yule Ball
Hermione looked stunning, while Ron looked shocking. It wasn't his fault, of course. His parents couldn't afford a new outfit for him. This figure shows Ron in all his dreadful Yule Ball glory. I can't help but think that this version of Ron looks just a wee bit mortified!
13 - Draco Malfoy
Draco looked down upon just about anyone who either wasn't a supporter of Voldemort or wealthy. The Funko version of Draco manages to capture his sneer while still looking cute. This toy shows Draco wearing his Slytherin House robes and he is holding his wand.
14 - Luna Lovegood
The Luna Funko is my absolute favorite! She has a sweet innocence about her, and her rosy cheeks are irresistible. Luna is wearing her radish earrings (technically they are dirigible plums, not radishes) and a butterbeer cork necklace. She is also wearing a ring that looks like a spider, though I have no idea why.
15 - Albus Dumbledore, Purple Robe
This is the second Dumbledore Funko. This time he is seen wearing the purple robes worn by actor Michael Gambon. He has a tassel hat and his beard is tied with silver string. He is holding his wand, the infamous Elder Wand, also known as the Death Wand.
16 - Sirius Black
Sirius was a man of action who lived life to the fullest, even if his life was cut short. He was incredibly good looking, which is evident in this toy. Sirius is wearing the outfit he enjoyed wearing after he gained his freedom from Azkaban, right down to his pocket watch.
17 - Dobby
The Dobby Funko is another of my favorites. He is holding the sock that Harry used to trick Lucius Malfoy into freeing Dobby. I love the sweet, yet pleading, look on his face and his huge bat-like ears. This figure is a wee bit shorter than the others, which is appropriate because house elves are smaller than humans.
18 - Dementor
This is the only figure in the Harry Potter Funko line that is not cute. In fact, it's rather terrifying looking! It is even creepier in real life than in this picture, and I think that's good because Dementors are despicable creatures. Doubt me? Take a good luck at the round mouth just waiting to give you a kiss...
19 - Draco Malfoy, Quidditch
(Hot Topic Exclusive)
This is the second Draco Funko figure. He is wearing his Slytherin Quidditch robe and holding his Nimbus 2001 broom. Unlike the Harry Potter Quidditch Funko, Draco is not holding the Golden Snitch because we never saw him catch it, though I assume that he did at some point because Slytherin beat Ravenclaw in the third story.
This is a Hot Topic exclusive.
20 - Cedric Diggory
Poor Cedric. He was the one opportunity for Hufflepuff to win glory, yet instead he was snuffed out by Lord Voldemort. Well, Peter Pettigrew, if you want to get technical, but it was at Voldemort's command. This Funko shows Cedric as he looked in his Triwizard Tournament outfit before he met his demise.
21 - Harry Potter, Sorting Hat
(Barnes & Noble Exclusive)
Here you see a young Harry Potter as he sits and waits for the Sorting Hat to decide what House to put him in. You might notice that the robe he is wearing is all black and doesn't have a House symbol - that's because he hasn't been sorted yet. The hat has the face seen in the films.
This is a Barnes & Noble exclusive.
22 - Neville Longbottom
Neville was constantly chasing after his toad Trevor in the first story, and he can be seen here holding onto his toad. He is also wearing his Gryffindor robe and holding his wand. Neville looks sweet here, just like his character.
23, 24, & 25 - Cornish Pixie, Mandrake, and Grindylow
(Barnes & Noble Exclusive 3-Pack)
Funko had several exclusives for the 2016 San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) event, including this three-pack. It has a cornish pixie, mandrake, and grindylow. These are very small and very adorable!
This is a 2016 San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) exclusive that was later sold at Barnes & Noble.
Pop! Wave 3 |
Wave three was released in 2016, starting in November. It is made up of 17 packs, including nine exclusives. |
26 - Harry Potter, Triwizard Tournament and Golden Egg
(Target Exclusive)
This Funko Pop is of Harry dressed in his Triwizard Tournament robe, holding the golden egg that was a clue for the second event.
This is a Target exclusive.
27 - Harry Potter, Sweater
(Hot Topic Exclusive)
Harry never expected a single present on his first Christmas at Hogwarts but Mrs. Weasley surprised him with a sweater that she made just for him. The blue sweater has the letter H on it, since Harry's name starts with H.
This is a Hot Topic exclusive.
28 - Ron Weasley, Sweater
(Hot Topic Exclusive)
Harry wasn't the only person to get a sweater from Mrs. Weasley on Christmas morning - Ron also had one waiting for him (as did Fred and George). Ron's sweater is red with an R on it.
This is a Hot Topic exclusive.
29 - Bellatrix Lestrange, Azkaban
(Hot Topic Exclusive)
This Funko shows Bellatrix as she looked when she was a prisoner of Azkaban. She was sent there for torturing Alice and Frank Longbottom, Neville's parents. She is wearing her prison dress, has her hands shackled, is holding her prison number sign, and has bare feet. I think my favorite part of this figure is the single lock of hair that is in the middle of her face, showing how little she cares for her appearance.
This is a Hot Topic exclusive.
30 - Lucius Malfoy, Death Eater
(Hot Topic Exclusive)
Lucius Malfoy was an unapologetic Death Eater and this character figure shows him as a full blown supporter of Lord Voldemort. He is wearing his mask, which does a wonderful job of making his eyes look frightening. He is also wearing an ornate black coat, black shirt, pants, and shoes, with a silver belt. It looks like there is a ring on his right hand, and his left hand is holding his signature snake cane that has his wand inside of it.
This is a Hot Topic exclusive.
31 - Harry Potter, Flying On Broom
(SDCC / Barnes & Noble Exclusive)
This shows Harry Potter as he is catching the Golden Snitch. He is wearing his Quidditch robes and flying on his broom. Unlike other Funko figurines, this one has a clear stand that makes it look like Harry is flying. I especially love the way his hair has a windswept look to it.
This is a 2017 San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) exclusive that was later sold at Barnes & Noble.
31 - Harry Potter, With Hedwig
(Hot Topic Exclusive)
Hagrid met Harry on his 11th birthday and bought an owl for Harry, which was his first real birthday present (the Dursleys delighted in giving him horrible gifts, such as used socks). Harry named the owl Hedwig, and he is seen here in his Gryffindor robe and scarf holding her.
This is a Hot Topic exclusive.
32 - Harry Potter, Prophecy
Dumbledore told Harry about a prophecy that was made about Lord Voldemort and a child born at the end of July, which Voldemort took to mean Harry Potter. Harry broke into the Ministry of Magic to save Sirius Black, and in the process he found his prophecy orb and held onto it for a short period of time before it broke and released his prophecy.
33 - Fred Weasley
Fred and George Weasley are Ron's twin brothers. They rarely take life seriously, which aggravates those around them, and they managed to take their light hearted attitude and turn it into a successful career when they opened their store, Weasleys Wizard Wheezes. Fred was more likely to take charge of a situation. He is seen here dressed in Gryffindor clothes and carrying a briefcase that says, "Weasley & Weasley."
34 - George Weasley
George Weasley is Fred's partner in mischief. He was as up for breaking the rules as his brother Fred was, though they always seemed to know where the line in the sand was and didn't cross it. George's Funko character has him wearing his Gryffindor clothing and holding two packages that I think are their Skiving Snackboxes.
35 - Bellatrix Lestrange
This is a figure of Bellatrix after she escaped from Azkaban. She is wearing a black dress that has silver buckles. She also has on her bird's skull necklace and two rings. Bellatrix is holding her unique wand in her right hand.
36 - Lucius Malfoy
The Lucius Malfoy Funko figure looks exactly the same as the Death Eater version, except he isn't wearing his mask and his eyes are slightly closed in his typical look of disdain. His clothes are the same, as is his snake cane.
37 - Minerva McGonagall
Professor McGonagall is also the head of Gryffindor at Hogwarts. She has taught school for decades and has no time for shenanigans. She is one of the few teachers who Fred and George Weasley listen to. She is seen here wearing her dark green robe and hat, black dress, and a necklace. She is also holding her wand.
38 - Mad Eye Moody
Alastor Moody was an auror, which is a wizard catcher. He retired after years working for the Ministry of Magic and acquired a variety of scars and wounds while on the job, including a fake leg and eye. His missing eye was replaced with a magical one, which is how he got the nickname of Mad Eye Moody. His Funko character has him wearing his black clothes and brown overcoat, and he's holding his twisted walking cane and wand.
39 - Delores Umbridge
Delores Umbridge was an employee of the Ministry of Magic who was later forced into Hogwarts by the increasingly suspicious Minister, Cornelius Fudge. Umbridge worked as Fudge's spy, and enforced anything that the Minister wanted changed in the school. She was a sadistic woman who enjoyed mentally and physically torturing students who defied her. She is seen here wearing a pink outfit with pink bows and a cat pin that contradicts her nasty personality.
40 - Lucius Malfoy, Prophecy
(FYE Exclusive)
Lucius Malfoy wanted to be the one Death Eater that Lord Voldemort could rely on more than any other, yet he continually made mistakes that got him into trouble with the Dark Lord. Perhaps the worst mistake he made was when he dropped the prophecy about Harry Potter, something Voldemort desperately wanted to hear since he'd only heard part of the prophecy. This Funko shows Lucius holding the orb before disaster struck.
This is an FYE exclusive.
41 - Luna Lovegood, With SpectraSpecs
(SDCC / Barnes & Noble Exclusive)
This just might be my favorite Funko figurine! It shows Luna Lovegood wearing her SpectraSpecs and Muggle clothing. She is also holding an issue of her father's paper, "The Quibbler," and is wearing radish earrings (or, to be completely accurate, dirigible plum earrings).
This is a 2017 San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) exclusive that was later sold at Barnes & Noble.
2 Pack - Fred And George Weasley
(BAM Exclusive)
You can buy Fred Weasley and George Weasley in individual boxes, or you can get this exclusive set that includes them both. They are identical to the individual toys but this is an easy way to get both at once.
This is a Books-a-Million (aka BAM) exclusive.
Pop! Wave 4 |
Wave four was released in 2017, starting in August or September. It is made up of 11 packs, including four exclusives. |
42 - Harry Potter With Marauders Map
This version of Harry shows him dressed in Muggles clothes. He is holding his wand in his right hand and the Marauders Map in his left hand.
43 - Hermione Granger With Time-Turner
This version of Hermione Granger has her wearing Muggle clothes. She is holding her wand in her right hand, has an injury on her cheek, and has a Time Turner.
44 - Ron Weasley With Scabbers
This version of Ron Weasley shows him wearing Muggle clothes. He is holding his pet rat Scabbers in his left hand and his face has scratches on it.
45 - Remus Lupin
This version of Remus Lupin shows him wearing his Hogwarts school teaching robe and his shabby suit. He is holding his wand in his right hand and has scars across his face.
46 - Ginny Weasley
This version of Ginny Weasley has her wearing her Gryffindor school clothes and she is holding her wand in her right hand.
47 - Luna Lovegood With Lion Hat
This version of Luna Lovegood just might be my favorite! She is wearing a lion hat that she made to show her support of Gryffindor during a Quidditch match.
48 - Peter Pettigrew
This shows Peter Pettigrew shortly after he was exposed by Remus Lupin and Sirius Black. His clothes are almost like rags after his many years spent as a rat in the Weasley household. He still has both hands here, with one finger missing from his left hand.
49 Remus Lupin Werewolf
(Hot Topic Exclusive)
This shows poor Professor Lupin after he turned into a werewolf in the third story, "Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban". The figure has creepy yellow eyes and comes with a stand so that it won't fall over when displayed.
This is a Hot Topic exclusive.
50: Ginny Weasley Wearing Quidditch Robe
(Barnes & Noble Exclusive)
Ginny Weasley learned how to fly a broom as a young girl before she entered Hogwarts. She was so good that she went on to play professionally for the Holyhead Harpies after she graduated.
This is a Barnes and Noble exclusive.
51: Harry Potter With Broom
(BoxLunch Exclusive)
We all know that Harry Potter was a natural when it came to flying on his broom, something that landed him a spot on the Gryffindor Quidditch team during his first days at Hogwarts. This Funko has Harry holding his beloved broom, and there are a couple of feathers from Buckbeak attached to the handle.
This is a BoxLunch exclusive.
52: Boggart Of Snape
(Hot Topic Exclusive)
Neville Longbottom confessed that his greatest fear was Severus Snape during a Defense Against The Dark Arts class with Professor Remus Lupin. The lesson was on how to defeat a boggart, a creature that takes the shape of what a person fears the most. But, as Professor Lupin taught, a boggart can be defeated by using humor against it. Neville took this to heart and turned his Snape boggart into a version of Snape wearing the clothes of Neville's grandmother, which is what this Funko character depicts.
This is a 2017 New York Comic Con (NYCC) exclusive that also sold at Hot Topic.
Pop! Wave 5 |
Wave five will be released in 2018, starting in June. Funko updated the look of the boxes for the Harry Potter line and they look very nice. |
55: Harry Potter
This has Harry Potter dressed up and ready to work with mandrakes in Professor Sprout's Herbology class. There is a look of fear on his face. Perhaps he is wondering if his earmuffs are on tight enough.
56: Ron Weasley
Like Harry, Ron is also seen wearing earmuffs for Herbology class. He has a look of worry on his face while holding his screaming mandrake.
57: Hermione Granger
Completing the trio is Hermione holding her mandrake. Unlike Harry and Ron, Hermione looks quite confident as she works with her plant.
3 Pack - Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger
(Barnes & Noble Exclusive)
There will be a 3-pack with all three of the Golden Trio and their mandrakes, available only at Barnes & Noble.
This is a Barnes & Noble exclusive.
Barnes & Noble Exclusive – Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, And Hermione Granger
58: Ginny Weasley
Ginny Weasley is seen writing in the diary given to her in secret by Lucius Malfoy. We know that it was really a horcrux from a teenage Tom Riddle but poor Ginny is unaware.
59: Gilderoy Lockhart
Ah, Gilderoy. You might be the winner of the Witch Weekly's Most Charming Smile award but it doesn't change the fact that you are a git. The fact that your likeness is now forever immortalized as a Funko Pop! does not change that one bit.
59: Gilderoy Lockhart
(Barnes & Noble Exclusive)
The Barnes & Noble edition of Gilderoy looks exactly like the regular version except that the clothing is in blue tones, not brown.
This is a Barnes & Noble exclusive.
60: Tom Riddle
We finally have a Tom Riddle Pop! This is a representation of Tom as we saw him in the second movie, Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets, when he almost killed poor Ginny Weasley.
60: Tom Riddle
(Target Exclusive)
Target has an exclusive version of Tom Riddle. It looks just like the regular release one except that it is in black and white. This makes him look like the memory that he was after he came out of the diary.
This is a Target exclusive.
61: Moaning Myrtle
(SDCC / Hot Topic Exclusive)
This will be exclusive to the San Diego Comic Con and Moaning Myrtle glows in the dark. She looks absolutely perfect in blue! Rumor has it that it will also be sold at Barnes & Noble.
This is a 2018 San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) exclusive that was also sold at Hot Topic.
62: Nearly Headless Nick
Wave five has several firsts, including this one. We have now been given one of the many ghosts roaming the grounds at Hogwarts, Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington. Nick is in hues of blue, fitting of his ghostly stature.
You might have noticed that there is no #61. This might mean that there will be another character that will be released later, possibly another exclusive. Or, it might mean nothing at all.
June27, 2018 Update: Funko released information on their Harry Potter exclusives for the 2018 San Diego Comic Con and there will be two, including the previously missing #61, which will be Moaning Myrtle. I love when I'm right about things like this!
62: Nearly Headless Nick
(SDCC / Barnes & Noble Exclusive)
This version of Nick looks identical to the common one but has one major difference - he glows in the dark just like Moaning Myrtle. This will be exclusive to the San Diego Comic Con but rumor has it that it will also be sold at Barnes & Noble.
This is a 2018 San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) exclusive that was also sold at Barnes & Noble.
63: Dobby
(Target Exclusive)
There was a Dobby Funko released very early on that is the same size as most other characters, exclusively at Target. This new one is a whopping 10" tall! Dobby is holding the sock that Harry Potter used to trick Lucius Malfoy into freeing him, just like the smaller version.
This is a Target exclusive.
64: Basilisk
(Target Exclusive)
Target will also have an exclusive of the Basilisk, the creature that was controlled by Tom Riddle, the heir of Slytherin. This terrifying beast is 6" tall.
This is a Target exclusive.
65 - Seamus Finnigan
(Books-A-Million Exclusive)
Seamus Finnigan was one of Harry Potter's dorm mates and was most famous for his ability to accidentally blow things up. This figure is a loving nod to Seamus's unintentional gift.
This is a Books-A-Million exclusive.
66 - Minerva McGonagall As A Cat
(Books-A-Million Exclusive)
We learned at the very beginning of the Harry Potter series that Professor McGonagall was an animagus and that her animal form was that of a grey tabby cat. This Funko is of McGonagall in her cat form.
This is a Books-A-Million exclusive.
3 Pack - Albus Dumbledore, Minerva McGonagall, and Severus Snape
(BAM Exclusive)
This three pack contains figures that were previously released in waves 1 and 3. These three can be difficult to find today so this is a great way to buy older figures without paying a lot on an after-market sites.
5 Star |
Wave one will be released in 2018, starting in August. The 5 Star series gives the figures a more realistic look than the other lines, and they include an accessories for each character |
5 Star: Albus Dumbledore And Fawkes
Headmaster Dumbledore was a very wise and kind man who allowed Harry Potter the ability to discover what he was capable of, often to the unhappiness of Severus Snape. Here he is, along with his beloved pet Phoenix, Fawkes.
5 Star: Hagrid And Cake
Hagrid might be a part giant but he's 100% kind hearted. Harry learned this the very first time he met him at age 11, when Hagrid delivered his Hogwarts letter to him. It was Harry's birthday, a fact that Hagrid knew and he brought with him a birthday cake that he'd made. This figure of Hagrid includes that cake, along with his pink umbrella.
5 Star: Hagrid And Norbert
(Walmart Exclusive)
Hagrid might be kind but he's also oblivious to how dangerous creatures can be. Harry, Ron, and Hermione learned this in their first year at Hogwarts when they discovered that Hagrid had a dragon's egg. This figure shows Hagrid as he helped the baby dragon, whom he named Norbert, hatch from his fireplace.
This is a Walmart exclusive.
5 Star: Harry Potter And Hedwig
The day Harry finally got his letter to Hogwarts was the day his life changed. Here he is with his letter, as well as Hedwig, the birthday gift given to him by Hagrid as he shopped in Diagon Alley for school supplies.
5 Star: Harry Potter And Sorcerer's Stone
(Walmart Exclusive)
This shows Harry Potter dressed in his Gryffindor school uniform, and showing off his house pride by wearing a Gryffindor scarf.
This is a Walmart exclusive.
5 Star: Hermione Granger And Book
(Walmart Exclusive)
Harry and Ron know that Hermione's favorite place to go when she needs help is the library. She is rarely seen without a book, and this figure includes one. I can't read the title of the book but it looks like it has something to do with Hogwarts.
This is a Walmart exclusive.
5 Star: Hermione Granger And Feather
Hermione is known for being both great at spell casting and for being bossy. This was made clear to Ron Weasley when she corrected him during the lesson for the charm Wingardium Leviosa. This figure includes a feather from that lesson, as well as one of her favorite books, Hogwarts: A History.
5 Star: Ron Weasley And Bertie Botts Beans
(Walmart Exclusive)
Ron Weasley loved to eat and seemed to have a sweet tooth. This figure includes an adorable box of Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans.
This is a Walmart exclusive.
5 Star: Ron Weasley And Scabbers
Poor Ron Weasley. He was the youngest of six sons and had pretty much nothing but hand-me-downs. Even his pet came from his older brother Percy. Here he is with his pet rat and a chocolate frog, one of Ron's favorite sweets.
5 Star: Severus Snape And Cauldron
(Walmart Exclusive)
Severus Snape was the bad guy turned good, although no one believed that except for Dumbledore. He was brilliant at potions and taught students at Hogwarts. Therefore, this figure comes with a cauldron and a potion's bottle.
This is a Walmart exclusive.
HeroWorld |
In 2018 the Funko company added Harry Potter to their HeroWorld line. These are, to the best of my knowledge, exclusive to Target, but they must not get very many because I've never seen them in a Target store and I frequent them often looking for Harry Potter merchandise. HeroWorldThere were three different sets for the Harry Potter HeroWorld collection. The first has five characters: Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, Albus Dumbledore, and Minerva McGonagall. The second has Draco Malfoy and Rubeus Hagrid. The third has Quirinius Quirrell and Severus Snape These are incredibly difficult to find. They were only sold in Target stores but you are more likely to find them on eBay. |
Keychain Series |
The keychains are smaller versions of the Pop! Vinyl characters with keychain rings attached to them. You can unscrew the keychains from the figures if you want to display them instead of use them as intended, as long as you don't mind that there will be a hole on the top of their heads. |
Keychains
There are a handful of keychains in the Harry Potter line, which are smaller versions of the Funko Pop! toys. So far the following characters are available as keychains (not including the mystery keychains):
Dementor
Dobby
Dumbledore
Harry Potter (Hot Topic exclusive of him wearing his Quidditch uniform)
Harry Potter (wearing his Gryffindor clothes)
Hermione Granger
Lord Voldemort
Severus Snape
Mystery Keychains
Funko previously released various Harry Potter characters as keychains but in September, 2017, they made this even more fun by adding more characters but in blindboxes. You can try to get each character but there will be an element of luck since the following characters can only be had in one of the Mystery keychain boxes:
Albus Dumbledore
Dementor
Dobby
Harry Potter (wearing Gryffindor robes)
Harry Potter (wearing 'H' sweater from Mrs. Weasley)
Harry Potter (wearing TriWizard Tournament clothes)
Lord Voldemort
Luna Lovegood
Neville Longbottom
Severus Snape
This item is estimated to be available sometime in September, 2017. Click one of the links below to pre-order.
Mystery Mini Series |
The Mystery Mini series are smaller versions of the Pop! Vinyl characters. The fun of these is that they are blindboxes so you don't know what you are going to get. |
Mystery Minis: Series 1
Mystery Minis come hidden in boxes and series one was released in 2016. You don't know which figure you are getting when you buy one of these, which is where the mystery aspect comes in. There are currently 16 figures - eight characters and their eight animal counterparts. These figures are smaller than the other figures and have a completely different look.
A lot of people are upset that Dobby is shown with Draco, but we all know that he was forced into slavery and had no choice but to serve the Malfoy family so this is a fair pairing.
There are two ways you can get minis. You can get blind boxes or already opened figures. Blind boxes are boxes that are not open so you don't know what you are getting. Or you can buy specific figures from sites like Amazon or eBay. You can expect the specific figures to cost more than the blind boxes but you are guaranteed to get exactly what you want. You will almost certainly spend more on blind boxes to get a certain character, so there are financial pros and cons to both methods.
Here is a list of the Mystery Minis and their animal/creature pairings (this list does not include exclusive minis):
- Harry Potter
- Hedwig (owl)
- Albus Dumbledore
- Fawkes (phoenix)
- Hermione Granger
- Crookshanks (orangish cat)
- Ron Weasley
- Scabbers (rat)
- Lord Voldemort
- Nagini (snake)
- Draco Malfoy
- Dobby (house elf)
- Rubeus Hagrid
- Fang (dog)
- Minerva McGonagall
- Grey Cat (McGonagall's animagus form)
Exclusive Mystery Minis: Series 1
There are also exclusive Harry Potter Mystery Minis that can only be found from certain stores. As of this writing there are only two stores with exclusive Minis - Barnes & Noble and Hot Topic, though you may also find them on Amazon and eBay.
If you want a specific character then I recommend that you go to eBay, but if you want a blind box (one that hasn't been opened yet and contains both an unknown character and the element of surprise) then you can get them from the stores that sell them or eBay.
Barnes & Noble Mystery Minis
There are four Minis available only from Barnes & Noble. Here is a list of their Mystery Minis:
- Harry Potter dressed in a Quidditch robe (instead of his Gryffindor robe)
- Sirius Black as a dog (instead of Hedwig)
- Albus Dumbledore dressed like actor Michael Gambon's Dumbledore (instead of actor Richard Harris's Dumbledore)
- Fawkes (flocked)
Hot Topic Mystery Minis
There are three Minis available only from Hot Topic. Here is a list of their Mystery Minis:
- Harry Potter dressed in his TriWizard Tournament clothes (instead of his Gryffindor robe)
- Hermione Granger dressed in her Yule Ball gown (instead of her Gryffindor robe)
- Crookshanks (flocked)
Mystery Minis: Series 2
Funko released series 2 in the Harry Potter Mystery Minis line in the summer of 2017. Their boxes have an update look and there are new characters that haven't been seen before in miniature form.
The first series featured pairs. I.E. Harry Potter and his owl Hedwig or Ron Weasley with his rat Scabbers. The second series does not appear to have any type of pairing, which I like because they are now going deeper into their available people and creatures.
Here is a list of the series two Mystery Minis (this list does not include exclusive minis):
- Bellatrix Lestrange
- Cornish Pixie
- Dementor
- Dragon
- Grindylow
- Harry Potter, sitting on a stool and wearing the Sorting Hat
- Hermione Granger, sitting on a stool and wearing the Sorting Hat
- Luna Lovegood
- Mermaid (merman?)
- Owl (Pigwidgeon?)
- Remus Lupin
- Ron Weasley, sitting on a stool and wearing the Sorting Hat
- Severus Snape
- Thestral
This item is estimated to be available sometime in August or September, 2017. Click one of the links below to pre-order.
Exclusive Mystery Minis: Series 2
There are eight exclusive Mystery Minis in the second series and can only be found at Barnes & Noble and Hot Topic. Several of the exclusives from the first series proved to be VERY hard to find, with the most difficult being Hermione Granger in her Yule Ball gown (a figure that I still don't have). Hopefully we will have better luck finding all eight exclusives this go around.
Barnes & Noble Mystery Minis
The four exclusives from Barnes & Noble are meant to be pairs or sets. They are (from left to right):
- Neville Longbottom
- Trevor (toad)
- Ginny Weasley
- Arnold (pygmy puff)
Hot Topic Mystery Minis
The four Hot Topic exclusives are also pairs, or sets. These include (from left to right):
- Sirius Black
- Buckbeak
- Fred Weasley
- George Weasley

The regular release characters of the S3 Mystery Minis includes:

Pen Topper Series |
These are pens with various Harry Potter characters on the top. I'm not sure because I don't have any but I suspect that the toppers (characters) come off and can be put on other pens. |
Pen Toppers: Series 1
These are called pen toppers and I know that the pens are included so this leads me to believe that the characters can be taken off these pens and placed on top of other pens. That's great because it means you don't have to throw the figures away when the pens run out of ink.
The first series included four pens with character toppers:
- Harry Potter
- Hermione Granger
- Lord Voldemort
- Rubeus Hagrid
Pen Toppers: Series 2
Funko released the second collection in the Pen Topper series in late summer of 2017. The first series didn't really have a theme but this one does since all four students are dressed in their Quidditch uniforms.
This collection includes:
- Draco Malfoy
- Ginny Weasley
- Harry Potter
- Ron Weasley
This item is estimated to be available sometime in August or September, 2017. Click one of the links below to pre-order.
Pen Toppers: Exclusive
To the best of my knowledge there is only one exclusive Pen Topper. It is the Golden Snitch, and, unlike the other pens that are black, the pen for this one is gold.
This is a Hot Topic exclusive.
Ride Series |
The Hogwarts Express Rides! series was released in June, 2016. It is made up of three packs that, when put together, make a complete train. |
Hogwarts Express With Harry Potter
This is the first of three parts that make up the Hogwarts Express. It comes with Harry Potter and the engine part of the train. Harry can stand in the back of the train. He is wearing hand-me-downs from his cousin Dudley His glasses were broken at some point and are held together with tape. Fortunately he is about to meet Hermione who will teach him the spell that will repair them!
Hogwarts Express With Ron Weasley
This is the second set that is needed to make up the Hogwarts Express. It comes with Ron Weasley and a section of the train. Ron can stand inside the carriage. He is wearing muggle clothing. He is holding a chocolate frog box in one hand and a chocolate frog in the other. Ron doesn't realize that he has a dirty smudge on his nose. Fortunately he is about to meet Hermione who has no problem pointing it out to him!
Hogwarts Express With Hermione Granger
This is the third set needed to complete the Hogwarts Express. It comes with Hermione Granger and another carriage section, which Hermione can stand in. Hermione is wearing her muggle clothes, but she is so excited about going to Hogwarts that she put her school robe over her clothes. She is also holding a handful of books, just in case she finds time to do a little light reading on the trip to school.
Rock Candy |
The Harry Potter Rock Candy series has a different look than the Pop! Vinyl toys, and was released starting in May, 2017. |
Rock Candy: Albus Dumbledore
This is the Headmaster as he looked when actor Michael Gamblin portrayed him. He is holding his wand, which we later found out was the Elder Wand, or Death Wand.
Rock Candy - Bellatrix Lestrange
Rock Candy Vinyls were introduced in mid-2017 and are the same height as the Pop! vinyls but much skinnier and more realistic looking. This is Bellatrix Lestrange wearing her black dress. She also has her wand, dagger, and bird's skull necklace. I love the tattered look at the bottom of her dress's skirt.
Rock Candy - Harry Potter
This is Harry Potter dressed up in his Gryffindor robes. He is holding his wand in his right hand and has Hedwig on his left arm.
Rock Candy: Harry Potter With Prophecy Orb
Here we see Harry Potter holding the prophecy orb that he retrieved from the Department of Mysteries at the Ministry of Magic. He didn't hold it for long before it was irreparably broken.
Rock Candy - Hermione Granger
This is Hermione Granger, dressed in her Gryffindor robes and holding her wand. Harry is holding Hedwig and Ron is holding Scabbers but Hermione doesn't have Crookshanks, which makes me a little sad. I guess it would have been difficult to have her cat around her ankles, but they could have at least given her books to hold because we all know Hermione's favorite pastime. Is anyone up for a little light reading?
Rock Candy: Lord Voldemort
Here he is, Lord Voldemort, looking as menacing as ever. He's wearing his robes and holding his wand, while his face looks rather frightening, especially with the veins showing on his head.
Rock Candy - Luna Lovegood
This version of Luna Lovegood looks very much like the 2017 San Diego Comic Con exclusive Funko, except Luna is thin. She is wearing the SpectraSpec glasses and dirigible plum earrings. She is holding an issue of her father's "The Quibbler" and has on Muggle clothes as only Luna could do. The best part just might be the slightly vacant look on Luna's face.
Rock Candy - Luna Lovegood Wearing Lion Hat
(Hot Topic Exclusive)
This Rock Candy version of Luna Lovegood shows her wearing the huge lion head hat that she made to show her support of the Gryffindor team for a Quidditch match.
This is a 2017 New York Comic Con (NYCC) exclusive. I do not yet know if this will be sold at a store, as some exclusives are.
Rock Candy: Neville Longbottom
(Barnes & Noble Exclusive)
Neville Longbottom started out as a shy and awkward student at Hogwarts but over the years he came out of his shell and proved to be a powerful hero. Here he is shown holding the Sword of Gryffindor right after he used it to chop off Nagini's head, sufficiently killing the horcrux that was inside the serpent.
This is a Barnes & Noble exclusive.
Rock Candy - Ron Weasley
Ron Weasley is dressed up in his Gryffindor robe. He is holding his wand in his right hand and his pet rat Scabbers in his left. This is the wand that he had in the third story, Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban, which is made obvious by the break that has been repaired with Spell-O-Tape. The slightly sheepish look on his face is perfect!
Rock Candy: Ron Weasley In Quidditch Uniform
Ron Weasley was terribly insecure when he first joined the Gryffindor Quidditch team. A swig from Felix Felicius, even if imagined, was enough to give Ron the confidence he needed. This figure shows Ron after he played well for his House.
Rock Candy: Sirius Black
(Funko Shop Exclusive)
Poor Sirius Black. He was imprisoned in Azkaban after being framed by Peter Pettigriew. At least he got to spend a few years getting to know his Godson, Harry Potter. Here we see Sirius in his Azkaban prison uniform, holding a sign for his mug shot.
This is a Funko Shop exclusive.
SuperCute Plushies |
The first wave of SuperCute Plushies was released in July, 2017. As the name implies, these are small, adorable stuffed versions of Harry Potter characters. |
SuperCute Plushies: Series 1
These adorable stuffed versions of Harry Potter and his friends stand between 7 and 8 inches tall. I have not seen these in person but I am guessing that they are as soft to the touch as they are cute to look at.
This collection includes:
- Dobby
- Harry Potter
- Hermione Granger
- Lord Voldemort
- Ron Weasley
Vnyl |
Harry Potter Vnyl characters were first released in 2018. These are sets that always come in pairs, and they have a more cartoonish look than the Pop! style. |
Vnyl: Hagrid And Harry Potter
This is the first wizarding Vnyl released and it is fitting that it includes both Hagrid and Harry. Why? Because Hagrid is the one who introduced Harry to us in the series.
Vnyl: Hermione Granger And Ron Weasley
Regular Release
The regular release of this Vnyl set has Hermione holding one of her beloved books and Ron is holding his pet rat Scabbers.
Barnes & Noble Exclusive
The second set is exclusive to Barnes and Noble but will eventually be available at Amazon and eBay. This one has Hermione looking very smug and Ron holding his wand, which is broken.
Misc. |
There are a lot of different sets that have been released under the Harry Potter Funko series. |
Dragon
Yes, I admit it, there isn't a dragon in the Harry Potter Funko collection, but there is a dragon in the series, several, in fact. And since Funko makes this gorgeous Smaug dragon, I just had to include it here. Harry battled a dragon in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, not to mention that Hagrid was crazy about dragons, so adding one to your Funko collection would make perfect sense.
At 6 inches tall, Smaug is quite a bit larger than the other figures, as he should be! There are three versions of Smaug, and any of them will go great with your Harry figures. One has black eyes, seen here, one has yellow eyes with black slits, and one has Smaug covered in gold.
Here is a video that I made of me with some of my Harry Potter Funkos. I love them so much!
