Fleur Delacour had several distinct outfits that she was seen wearing in the movies. I was able to recreate two of Fleur’s looks so you have a couple of options if you want to dress up in a Fleur Delacour costume.
The two outfits that you will find here are the Beauxbatons dress that Fleur wore upon her arrival at Hogwarts for the Triwizard Tournament and the workout outfit that she wore for the final tournament challenge.
I am deeply saddened that neither her Yule Ball gown or her gorgeous wedding gown are available! Fleur’s wedding dress was inspired by a wedding gown by designer Alexander McQueen. McQueen has since passed away but I’m amazed that no one associated with his business chose to replicate the dress and make it available to all who want it and are able to buy it.
I was honestly shocked to learn that none of Fleur’s outfits have been recreated for the public. Of all the costumes that I have put together to date, Fleur’s costume proved to be the most challenging because there are no replicas – with the exception of her hat – and there are very few items that you can use as a substitute. I did my very best to find similar items and hope that they help you recreate Fleur Delacour.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire book described Fleur’s hair as such:
“It was the girl from Beauxbatons who had laughed during Dumbledore’s speech. She had finally removed her muffler. A long sheet of silvery-blonde hair fell almost to her waist.”
Fleur from the books had silvery-colored hair, but Fleur in the movies had blonde hair. This means you have a choice to make when it comes to what your hair will look like for your costume. I have included links for both silver and blonde wigs to make it easy for you to find the type of hair you want.

Wand
Fleur’s wand was as elegant as she was. Her wand was made from rosewood. Fleur’s grandmother, a full Veela, gave a single strand of her hair to Fleur for the core of Fleur’s wand. Wandmaker Garrick Ollivander stated that wands with Veela hair cores are known to be temperament, but Fleur’s wand seemed to work for her at all times.
For those of you who don’t know, Veela’s are magical creatures that are similar to humans in their appearance, unless they get angry which turns them into hideous Harpy-like creatures. Veela’s cast a magical spell on the males around them, who are then irresistibly drawn to the Veelas. Very few men can resist the lure of a Veela, though we saw in the fourth book that Arthur Weasley seemed able to do so.
Folklore about Veelas says that they will die or change into a form that no longer looks human. We don’t know if Fleur’s grandmother died after giving a strand of her hair to Fleur, but I suspect that her hair was not plucked, but instead fell from her head on its own accord, as hair so often does.

Triwizard Tournament Workout Suit
Fleur wore a workout suit with what appeared to be a black tank top when she entered the maze for the final Triwizard Tournament challenge. This outfit is much easier to replicate than Fleur’s school uniform.
The workout suit Fleur wore in the movie was a shade of blue that was almost identical to the blue seen here. Her outfit had a black stripe running up the side of the pants and jacket so if you are crafty then you can add your own stripes. The stripes were subtle so it is okay to leave them off.
I highly recommend at least one addition to your suit – a Beauxbatons school crest or Triwizard Tournament patch. I have this item listed a little further down and patches are very easy to sew onto clothing.

There are plenty of black tank tops for you to choose from. You will have your choice of materials and backs (i.e. racerback). Get whatever you are most comfortable wearing.

Shoes
The shoes Fleur wore were black athletic shoes, which match the black stripe on the suit and the tank top.
If you already own a pair of black walking shoes then wear those. Otherwise, I’ve gathered together shoes that will work for this Fleur costume. I did my best to remove shoes that have color but a few might have snuck in despite my best efforts. Look for shoes that are completely black.

Blue Wand Ribbon
Remember when the Beauxbaton girls first entered the Great Hall at Hogwarts? They did a dance that included twirling ribbons. You can replicate this with your own ribbon. All you need to do is twirl it through the air and it will look every bit as elegant as Fleur’s.

Beauxbatons Crest Patch
Beauxbatons Academy of Magic is in Pyrenees, located in the Southern part of France. Their official coat of arms, seen here and described in the books, is of two golden wands that are crossed. Each wand has three magical stars coming out of it.
If you want to wear a Beauxbatons crest then there is a very good chance that it won’t look like this one. The crest seen in the movies has a ‘B’ on it, and above the ‘B’ are two wands that are crossed. The crest is highly adorned with golden flowers, and golden leaves, and has a very French feeling to it.
As I stated above, I recommend that you add either a Beauxbatons crest or Triwizard patch if you want to wear the exercise outfit. The patches seem to be one of the easiest items to find so hopefully you will not have any problems locating one to buy.

The other patch that you can add to your Fleur Delacour costume is the Triwizard Tournament patch. There are a couple of different patches available. Fleur Delacour was chosen by the Goblet of Fire to represent her school in the Triwizard Tournament. There are a couple of different versions of the Triwizard cup, including a movie prop replica and necklaces.

Golden Egg
The very first task in the Triwizard Tournament required each of the four Champions to take a golden egg away from a vicious dragon. That was difficult enough, but then each Champion had to figure out the mystery of their eggs to prepare for the second task.
There are several variations of the egg. You can buy a movie prop replica that looks just like the eggs in the fourth movie, you can buy a small pin and wear it on your outfit, or you can even wear an egg pendant.
