Back in 2018 Funko released their first Harry Potter advent calendar, which was an exciting release. Although there was some disappointment that there were multiples of the same character (it had three of the same characters that were included but with different clothes).
They have continued to release new sets each year and, as you can see from the chart below, there are a lot of duplicates from previous years, which is very disappointing. In fact, the 2021 set only has ONE new, never before seen, figure in it, along with a couple of animals that are flocked for the first time. Those of us who have been collecting these since the beginning are very vocally saying that we are not going to spend our sickles, knuts, and galleons to get just one unique figure.
I got tired of trying to figure out how many of the figures from the latest release are duplicates so I decided to create this list that shows you all the Funko Harry Potter advent calendar figures, as well as what sets they have been in. Turns out there are far more duplicates than I originally thought.
It is my hope that this list is helpful to others who are also wanting to find out if there are truly new or duplicated characters in their Harry Potter Funko advent calendars.

I hope that Funko stops repeating the same figures but I guess that as long as people spend money on them that they will continue to do what they are currently doing. I guess we will find out in 2022 if all the duplicates from the 2021 set hurt their bottom line or not. If they continue to put out duplicates going forward then my guess is that not too many people stopped buying them from the previous year(s). Time will tell.

REALLY HELPFUL. I just bought a complete set of 2018 figures. I see now that they’re GameStop; that 2018 was the FIRST; and which ones did or didn’t repeat (so may be valuable for resale). I just got them to put in my own advent css as lenders. This was SO helpful. More than I expected.
