How To Display Harry Potter LEGO Minifigures

Back in 2018, LEGO released their first series of blind bag Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts minifigures. Every single one was a wonderful addition to our collections, but many of us began to wonder how to display them. One fan came up with a very clever solution using a shadow box. She has given me permission to share her pictures with you, in case you want to use this method, too.

This method of showing off your characters uses scrapbooking paper in magical designs and shadow boxes. Choose a paper and attach it to the back - tape should work. You can then place your witch or wizard (or muggle, if you have Jacob Kowalski) and the included accessory. I like to use museum putty for situations like this.

When done, you will have a fun collection of your favorite characters, ready to be hung on the walls of your home. You could even combine multiple characters together in a single frame, like Ron Weasley with Hermione Granger or Newt Scamander with Tina Goldstein.

Below you will see links for where you can buy the items needed to replicate this design idea and examples that you can use to get your creative juices flowing.

Everything You Need

Shadow Box

Shadow boxes come in many sizes but think small for this project. 4"x4" should be good, unless you want a little extra room for decorating.

Scrapbook Paper

What you see below is just an example of the different magically themed papers that are available. However, as you will see from the examples below, you don't have to stick with wizarding designs. For example, Dobby's display has adorable socks on the paper.

Museum Putty

There are many brands but this is the one that I use. A little goes a long way so a pack should last you a very long time. Tip: This is also perfect for using with your Funko Mystery Mini characters, which are notorious for falling over.
