I have dreamed of having the perfect wizarding themed kitchen for a while but haven’t yet managed to make my dream a reality. However, that is about to start changing because Le Creuset has a new Harry Potter line of kitchenware and I bought three of their items today. Now if only I could cook as well as Molly Weasley, then I’d be the perfect kitchen witch.
If you aren’t aware of the brand, Le Creuset makes high-end cooking and kitchen gear. They are expensive but worth every penny because their quality is impeccable, and the 10 items in this new line are no exception.
Below is a description of the items they have released, but be aware that they are selling out incredibly fast.

DEATHLY HALLOWS SPOON REST
You can keep your countertop clean while cooking by resting utensils on this Deathly Hallows spoon rest. The glazed surface of the stoneware is practically non-stick and the ridges will help keep drippings in the dish. You can use the Scourgify spell to clean it but if your spell-casting is a bit rusty then you can safely put it in the dishwasher. It is backed by a 10 year warranty.
HARRY POTTER SIGNATURE ROUND DUTCH OVEN
This 5 1/2 qt. dutch oven is like none that has come before it. The lid has the outline of Harry’s hair and glasses, and the solid brass handle is shaped like his lightening bolt scar. It is enameled cast iron and can be used on the following heat sources: ceramic, electric, gas, halogen, induction, and oven. It is backed by a limited lifetime warranty and is sure to be passed from one generation to the next.
HEDWIG PIE BIRD
Pie fillings are known to boil over while cooking, making a mess inside the oven. However, the hole on top of this Hedwig pie bird will vent the steam and prevent that from happening, just like magic! The bottom is arched, not flat, to keep the pie crust from getting soggy. It is made of stoneware that can be safely used in a broiler, microwave, and oven, and is backed by a 10 year warranty.
HOGWARTS EXPRESS KETTLE
When is a tea kettle not a tea kettle? When it’s a Hogwarts Express kettle! Okay, that was admittedly stupid but I couldn’t come up with anything better. I never realized before now how much a tea kettle and a train resemble each other, but they do. This has several elements of the magical train that takes students to and from Hogwarts each school year, including the train’s number (5972) and 9 3/4 on the lid’s knob. And for those of you who are wondering, yes, the steam vent makes a whistling sound when the water comes to a boil. It is backed by a 5 year warranty.
HOGWARTS HOUSES DESSERT PLATE SET
I think that the only thing that can make dessert better is enjoying them on these plates. Each is made in the color of its respective house and has that house’s mascot on it: Red and a lion for Gryffindor, green and a serpent for Slytherin, blue and a raven (I don’t think it’s an eagle) for Ravenclaw, and yellow with a badger for Hufflepuff. This stoneware is glazed to prevent chipping and is safe to clean in the dishwasher, and is backed by a 10 year warranty.
HOGWARTS HOUSES POTHOLDER
At 34 1/2″ long, this is plenty big enough to help you safely remove just about any sized dutch over or casserole dish from your oven while protecting your hands from burns. It is colorful, displaying the colors and mascots for all four Hogwarts houses, which are visible on both sides, but what caught my eye was the ‘H’ embroidered in gold thread. I’m not positive, but from the pictures it looks like you can use this on either side, not just one side.
MAGICAL MUG SET
It is made clear that witches and wizards don’t drink coffee (remember how confused Ron was about what to order in the coffee shop after they escaped Bill’s and Fleur’s wedding to London?) but that doesn’t mean you can’t drink coffee from these. Of course, you are also welcome to enjoy tea, pumpkin juice, or even a bit of fire whiskey. Made of glazed stoneware, they will resist scratches, chips, and stains. But the best part is that each has a hidden message that will reveal itself when warmed up from these wizarding establishments: The Three Broomsticks, Ollivanders, Weasleys Wizard Wheezes, and Gringotts. These are backed by a 10 year warranty.
QUIDDITCH SIGNATURE ROUND DUTCH OVEN
This 2 3/4 qt. dutch oven highlights the wizarding world’s favorite sport, Quidditch. The lid has three Quidditch hoops and the brass knob is shaped like the Golden Snitch. It’s as much a piece of art as it is a functional piece of cookware. Made from enameled cast iron, it can be used on the following heat sources: ceramic, electric, gas, halogen, induction, and oven. It is backed by a limited lifetime warranty and, like the Harry Potter dutch oven, will likely become a family heirloom.
SPELLCASTING SPATULA SET
You can’t cook without utensils to stir and brush the food that you are preparing, and now you can do so in wizarding style. This set of four cooking utensils have handles shaped from the wands of Albus Dumbledore, Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley. They are made from BPA-free silicone and are safe to use in the dishwasher, freezer, microwave, and oven. They are backed by a five year warranty.
