Tom Felton has made no bones about how much he loves that he is part of the Harry Potter world and he embraces that fact. He also enjoys sharing his love of the fandom with the world.
He recently released a video that takes his love to a whole new level! In this video Tom does his very best to impersonate some of the most popular characters from the films, 11 different imitations in total.
Here are the characters that Tom replicated, along with my opinions of each:
Hermione Granger – Not great but not bad. He didn’t quite get the inflection right on the word Leviosa, but he makes up for it with his high-pitched, female voice.
Albus Dumbledore – Uh… Sounds a bit more like Tom Waite to me… Even Tom acknowledged that this wasn’t good but it was funny!
Draco Malfoy – Yes, you read that correctly, he impersonated himself! Even better, he didn’t get it right on his first try. He got there, though, even if Tom doesn’t think so.
Hermione Granger – This time he kept his voice at his normal pitch but expressed the same anger that Emma Watson did for the scene where Hermione hit Draco. Well done, Tom.
Rubius Hagrid – Tom didn’t quite get this one but he more than made up for it with some awesome facial expressions.
Lord Voldemort – Oh my gosh!!! Yes! He nailed this one, right down to the waving of the wand as he said, “Avada Kadavera!!!”
Severus Snape – Not much was said for this impersonation but it was far more about how he said it than the words. Tom got the pause between words perfectly, as well as the sneer.
Neville Longbottom – Oh, wow. This was so good that if I closed my eyes I might have mistaken Tom’s voice for Matthew Lewis’s. Spot on perfect to my ears.
Lord Voldemort – Lol! I think this was an outtake of him saying, “Avada Kadavra!” and it was funny and fun.
Filius Flitwick – Well, no… He was able to say, “Swish and flick,” okay but he sounded a bit more Irish than I remember Professor Flitwick sounding.
Dobby – I’m laughing way too hard at this one! Tom got the voice pitch right and then made himself laugh, which is now making me laugh.
Tom, I loved this. Thank you so much for sharing this with us, fellow fans. 10 points to Slytherin! Or is it Gryffindor that should get the points now that you’ve officially been sorted into your rival house?
