April 23, 2018 is the day that His Royal Highness Prince Louis Arthur Charles was born. It didn’t take long before Harry Potter fans realized that this is a very interesting collection of names, and that all three of them relate to the Weasley family.

So, what do the Weasleys and the royal family have in common? Well, in truth, nothing since one family is fiction and the other is real. But if you are willing to forget about that for a moment then you can imagine that the new prince was named after my favorite wizarding family in J.K. Rowling’s magical series.

I’ll admit upfront that the connection to one name is rather obvious (Arthur), one you’d probably get after a moment or two of thinking, but the I suspect that you’d have a bit of trouble figuring out the third one.

Here is how Harry’s magical world connects to the royal one:

Louis (pronounced “Lou-ee”) is the name of Bill’s and Fleur’s son.`

Arthur is the patriarch (aka father) of the Weasley clan.

Charles (aka Charlie) is the second son of Molly and Arthur Weasley.

So, what do you think? Prince William and Duchess Catherine (aka Kate) have been seen visiting the Harry Potter part of the Warner Bros. studio. Could it be that one or both of the royal couple are Harry Potter fans and that their third son was named in honor of the story? Let me know what you think in the comments below.
