I have written posts about Harry Potter gifts for Kids and Harry Potter gifts for adults and now it is time for me to turn my thoughts to Harry Potter stocking stuffers.
Stocking stuffers are small items that can fit into a Christmas stocking. Fans of the Harry Potter series will be delighted to find out that there are a lot of Harry Potter items small enough to be used as stocking stuffers.
This was a fun post for me to write because all I needed to do was think about what kind of gifts I'd want to wake up and find in my stocking on Christmas morning. It didn't take much effort on my part to come up with 11 items. In fact, it was harder limiting it to just 11 as I could have added a lot more!
Keep reading and you'll get ideas ranging from Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans (and when they say every flavor, they mean it - look out for the vomit flavored bean) to zipper pull charms. Each item is inspired by Harry's magical world.
Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans
Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans were another of the many candies Harry and Ron ate during their first train ride together. Ron warned Harry that when they say every flavor, they mean it because they also include disgusting flavors like ear wax and bogies. The Muggle version of these beans also include disgusting flavors, so these might be just for the brave of heart!
Buttons
Whether you call them pins, badges, buttons, or pinback buttons doesn't matter because they all have one thing in common - they can be worn on clothes, backpacks, or anything else you want to attach them to. There are loads of Harry Potter buttons to choose from, including characters, sayings, and symbols.
Calendars
Every year there are new Harry Potter calendars for fans to choose from. You might think that a calendar is too large to be used as a stocking stuffer but they fit nicely if you roll them up. Some calendars have characters and scenes from the movies while others have images drawn by Mary Grandepre, the artist who did the cover and chapter art for the books published in the United States.
Chocolate Frogs
Harry Potter and Ron Weasley became friends while riding on the Hogwarts Express before the start of their first year at Hogwarts. During the ride Harry bought every kind of candy the Trolley Witch had, including chocolate frogs. The frogs in the Muggle version don't jump, but they taste every bit as delicious as the ones Harry and Ron enjoyed.
Want to see even more candies? I wrote about all the Harry Potter candy here.
Pen Wands
My favorite kind of pen is a pen wand. If only we Muggles could find a spell-checking quill like the one Ron Weasley bought from his brothers, Fred and George, at Weasley's Wizard Wheezes!
Socks
Every fan who has read the Harry Potter books knows the importance of socks in the series, specifically as they relate to Dobby the house elf. What those same fans may not know is that there are many different Harry Potter socks that they can wear. Socks are perfect as Harry Potter stocking stuffers because they fold up small. There are socks for each of the four Hogwarts houses - Ravenclaw, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw. Some are knee high socks while others are ankle socks.
