Mother's Day is right around the corner. I have two daughters and Lily, my younger one, has been asking me what I want for my special day. That, of course, got me thinking about my love for Harry Potter, which inspired me to wrote this post. Therefore I have found five gift ideas that are dedicated to mothers everywhere who love Harry Potter as much as I do!
What does a Harry Potter Mother's day look like? Well, I'm not entirely sure because I haven't had one, so what you see here is the dream list of Mother's day gifts for me. I am confident that the Mother's day gift ideas found here will be appreciated by Harry Potter loving moms everywhere.
Many of the items listed below are handmade, especially the pictures of the items I've chosen. Mother's Day Gift Ideas
Mother's Day Card
When it comes to cards, the ones sold for Mother's day are usually sappy and sweet. That's okay, but I found some that manage to mix sappy and sweet with magic and wizards.
The card you see here says, "Only your love can protect me from He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named." The inside is blank but it would be very appropriate if you wrote something like, "Happy Mother's Day. Always."
This is the perfect card! There are others, too, though not as many as I wish there were. Perhaps in time there will be more to choose from than just a handful because I can assure you that there are plenty of moms *cough*<me> *cough* would would love to get a card inspired by J.K. Rowling's world.

Picture Frame
What do mothers love to do? Look at pictures of their children! Just about any mother is sure to have her work and living space filled with pictures of her kids, and just imagine how happy she would be to be able to frame her favorite picture in a Harry Potter photo frame!
The one seen here is made of leather and has a doe on it. It also says, "After all this time?" and "Always."
Die hard fans all know that the doe was Lily Potter's Patronus, and that it represents the love Severus Snape had for her. This is a beautiful frame, but it is just one of several. Some frames have quotes, others magical decorations, but all would be welcomed by moms.
Locket
There is something inherently romantic and loving about a locket. Lockets are meant to house pictures or small mementos of loved ones, and this makes them perfect gifts for mothers.
I was surprised by how many Harry Potter lockets there are. Some are like traditional lockets, while others are much more unique, like the Golden Snitch locket like this one.
The one you see here is a Golden Snitch with wings and a birthstone charm. When opened, you see a picture and a saying. The saying for this particular necklace can be customized but I love what the image says, which is, "To my magical mom."
Charm Bracelet
If I remember correctly, one of the earliest gifts that I gave to my mom was a charm bracelet. Charm bracelets are a popular gift because new charms can often be added at a later date.
There is something undeniably appealing about charm bracelets. Perhaps it is because you can add charms, making each bracelet unique.
A Harry Potter charm bracelet would be a fun gift for several reasons. First, it has Harry Potter charms on it! Second, if you get the kind of bracelet that can have more charms added then it could become a Mother's day tradition to give the mom in your life a new charm each year.
Apron
Women are known to spend a fair amount of time in the kitchen making meals. Not every meal requires an apron but many do. The thought of wearing a Harry Potter apron is an awesome one to me, and I'm willing to bet that I am not alone.
Worried the mom in your life already has an apron? As a woman who has at least five aprons, I can assure you that this isn't a problem!
Some aprons look like typical aprons and have story quotes on them or sayings like, "Did you tickle the pear?" or "House elf", seen here. Others are wonderfully detailed and more like a work of art than a standard kitchen apron.
And there you have it, five great gift ideas for mothers who happen to love Harry Potter. I hope you enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed writing this!
Poll
As I put this list of gifts together I realized that there are very few mothers in the series. My personal favorite is Molly Weasley. Who is your favorite mother from the Harry Potter universe?
It’s a good mother gift idea. Keep posting.
