If you are looking for kitchen gift ideas for the Harry Potter fan in your life (or for yourself) then you've come to the right place! I have gathered together everything you could possibly want, and I'll bet there are a few items that you hadn't seen before such as the KitchenAid mixer decals.
To be honest, I didn't expect to find very much when I started writing this post. As you browse through this page you'll see that there are actually a lot of different items, which surprised me. Everything seen here is sold on Etsy, a wonderful place to find all kinds of handmade and custom items that you can't find anywhere else. I had a lot of fun putting this guide together and hope you enjoy it, too.
Baking And Cooking
Cake Topper
What you see here are Harry Potter characters made from fondant, but there are also edible pictures, banners, rings, and more.
Candy Mold
Molds are perfect for making tasty treats. You can use them to make candy, chocolate, jello, ice cubes, cake pops, even soap!
Cookie Cutter
You can find a cookie cutter for just about any aspect of Harry's world, including the four Hogwarts houses, the Deathly Hallow, Harry's glasses and scar, and the Golden Snitch.
Cupcake Wrappers
Dress up cupcakes with Harry Potter wrappers. All you need to do is place baked cupcakes into the wizarding wrappers to instantly transform ordinary baked treats into magical ones.
Hot Chocolate Mix
Hot chocolate lovers won't be able to resist any of the mixes that I found. Each mix is inspired in some way by Harry's magical world.
Pie Pan
Hagrid was known for making rock cakes but I'll bet that if he had a personalized pie pan that he would have tried making a pie. Whether or not his pie would be edible is another question and I don't think I'd be brave enough to try it. Would you?
Rolling Pin
This rolling pin is covered with Harry's glasses, his scar, and the Deathly Hallows symbol. They have all been etched into the wood, making this pretty enough to keep on the counter instead of hidden away in a drawer.
Sprinkles
Cookies, cakes, and cupcakes will look better with lightning bolt sprinkles added to them.
Wooden Spoon
Wooden spoons are popular among chefs because they won't harm nonstick pots and pans. These spoons and utensils are even better when they are decorated with symbols and designs from Harry's world. These can be kept in a vase or container so the decorated ends are displayed.
Coffee And Tea
Coffee
You are in good company if coffee is your patronus! Now you can enjoy java made from magical beans. Well, maybe not really magical, but you know what I mean.
Coffee Cozy
Cup cozies, sometimes called sleeves or warmers, protect hands from the heat of a cup. They also help keep the contents of a cup or mug warm so that the drink doesn't cool too quickly. There are a lot of Harry Potter inspired cozies that will fit over cups and mugs. I've seen cozies in the colors of the four Hogwarts houses, with the Deathly Hallows symbol, and even with various characters on them.
Tea
Tea is an important aspect of British life so I wasn't surprised to find Harry Potter inspired flavors, including Butterbeer, Chocolate Frog, the four Hogwarts houses, and even Weasley. These are loose leaves so you'll need an infuser for them.
Tea Infuser
Loose tea leaves need to be steeped in an infuser, which keeps the leaves safely contained so they don't remain in your cup after you are done with them.
Tea Pot
Some people steep their tea in cups but the more traditional way to do it is in a teapot. There aren't many available but my favorite of the ones I saw is this one. It is handmade and has the Deathly Hallows symbol on it.
Tea Pot Cozy
Keep the tea in a teapot warm or protect it from dust when not in use by covering it with a handmade tea cozy. I love this one made to look like Professor Severus Snape!
Glassware
Beer Mug
Beer is a favorite among Muggles and a stein is the glass of choice for this brew. Witches and wizards, on the other hand, prefer Butterbeer in theirs.
Coffee Mug
Most people drink coffee, which makes the mug a very popular kitchen item.
Martini Glass
Enjoy your martini in a glass that shows your Hogwarts house or the Marauders Map.
Shot Glass
Shot glasses are perfect for a swig of your favorite drink, alcoholic or otherwise. They can also be used for desserts, homemade candles, and dipping sauces.
Tea Cup
Characters in the stories were sometimes seen drinking tea but they were more likely seen trying to read tea leaves in Professor Trelawney's divination class. Take care, though, if you see the Grim in the bottom of your cup!
Tumbler
Tumblers come in a variety of sizes and styles. Some are acrylic while others are metal, and most have lids and straws. Some can even be personalized.
Wine Glass
Accio wine! What better way to enjoy wine than in a glass inspired by Harry Potter? There are glasses with or without stems and many can be personalized.
Misc.
Apron
There are loads of aprons that Harry Potter fans will love! This is one of my favorites, a very feminine Slytherin apron (this style is available for all four houses), but there are plenty of other styles and designs to choose from.
Art
There is some art that is perfect for a Harry Potter themed kitchen, such as this picture of The Three Broomsticks, which is a restaurant found in Hogsmeade.
Candle
Candles are a great way to infuse a kitchen with a wonderful fragrance, and there are many different scents based on J.K. Rowling's wizarding world, like this one called Mrs. Weasley's Kitchen.
Coasters And Tiles
Coasters and tiles can be used to protect wooden surfaces from damage, but they can also be used for decoration, as trivets, or added to backsplash tiles.
Cutting Board
Every kitchen needs a cutting board so why not use one that adds a touch of magic to meal prep? Most boards are made of wood and can be customized.
Kitchen Towel
Towels are a must in the kitchen. They are used to dry hands and dishes, and they can also be used to roll out dough, but only on pastry cloths, sometimes called flour sacks towels.
Magnet
There is an almost endless supply of magnets based on Harry and his wizarding world. And where are people most likely to put magnets? 10 points if you said the refrigerator!
Mandrake Root
My daughter wanted me to add this item because she said it looks like it belongs in a witch's kitchen. I have to admit that I agree with her! You might want to add a pair of pink earmuffs next to them to prevent anyone of fainting when you repot your mandrake.
Mixer Decal
Dress up your KitchenAid mixer by adding a vinyl decal to it. I've found decals for Potions Master, the Marauders Map, and more.
Oven Mitt
This is one of the many oven mitts I found. Most are glove shaped, like this one, but several are square.
Sandwich Bag
There are a handful of reusable sandwich bags that are made from Harry Potter fabric. The ones I saw have a food grade plastic lining and are machine washable. Most close at the top with velcro but at least one uses a zipper instead. These are perfect for people who are worried about adding plastic bags to landfills.
Serving Tray
A serving tray is a must for anyone who entertains. It can be used to carry wine and cheese, appetizers, or anything else that fits on it. I love the one seen here with the Deathly Hallows symbol on it.
Skillet Mitt
The handles for cast iron skillets are known for getting too hot to touch. If you have a skillet then you will love this mitt that will protect your hand from getting burned.
Soap Dispenser
Every kitchen needs to have soap so dispense it from a container that shows off your favorite fandom. I found containers made in the colors of the four houses but my favorite is this one - Professor Snape's Pure Palm Potion.
Spoon Rest
Spoon rests are meant to protect counters from spills in between stirring food. It also gives you a place to put your cooking utensils instead of putting them on the counter while you prepare your meal.
Vase
My husband thought it was strange for me to include a vase on a page dedicated to kitchen items since a vase isn't something you would usually find in a kitchen. Yes, you can use it for flowers, but, as I explained to him, you can also use one to hold your cooking utensils near your stove.
Wall Decal
There is a seemingly endless variety of wall decals to choose from, including quotes and the Hogwarts castle seen here. Some can even be customized. The most obvious place to put a decal is on a wall but they can also be put on appliances such as your refrigerator or microwave. Just make sure that you choose the right size to fit wherever you want to put it.
Wine Charms
Those of you who have had wine at gatherings understand the Muggle struggle of keeping track of your glass and not confusing it with someone else's. This probably magically disappears when you use wine charms because each charm is different!
Wine Stopper
Have you ever opened a bottle of wine but then had a hard time putting the cork back in the bottle? Yep, me, too! You will no longer have to force the cork in and risk breaking it if you use a stopper.
Recipes
Recipe Box
Keep handwritten recipe cards safe inside a recipe box. At the time that I wrote this post there was only one available but it is lovely! It is handmade and can be made from a variety of woods. It can also be customized with a name and crest from one of the four Hogwarts houses. This is worthy of being displayed on a kitchen counter.
Recipe Cards
Share your favorite recipes by writing them on blank cards that are inspired by Harry and his magical world.
Recipes
Have you ever wanted to make Butterbeer, Pumpkin Pasties, or a Muggle friendly version of Polyjuice Potion? You can with these printable recipe cards. There are sets that focus on various types of food and drink, and the cards can be printed instantly, which means you can give them away as gifts or stocking stuffers as many times as you want.
Servingware
Bowl
Although there aren't many bowls, the ones that are available are sure to make the Harry Potter fan in your life happy. Some are more like giant mugs than bowls, and my favorite is the one seen here that says, "Don't let the Muggles get you down."
Plate
Set your table with plates that represent your favorite aspect of the wizarding world. Choose from plates etched with Hogwarts and the emblems from the four houses or consider plates shaped like the Knight Bus or Hogwarts Castle.
Silverware
Forget about ordinary forks and spoons. Instead, use a Slytherspoon or Gryffinfork! Or customize your silverware with something else. Perhaps nitwit, blubber, oddment, or tweak?
