Someone created a lovely reading nook by painting several Harry Potter scenes in their room. First, there is the Hogwarts crest, complete with all four house crests and the school's motto, "Draco dormiens nunquam titillandus," underneath. For those who don't already know, the Hogwarts motto translates to, "Never tickle a sleeping dragon," something that Harry Potter was known to do figuratively on many occasions.
The upper corner has been painted to look like a bit of brick underneath is showing through, giving the room an aged look. Then there is what appears to be an open window where a snowy white owl that looks very much like Hedwig is landing on the ledge.
I have no doubt whatsoever that if either of my children saw this, they, too, would want this for their bedrooms. For that matter, I'd love it in my bedroom, but I doubt I could convince my husband that our bedroom needs a makeover like this.
Whoever painted this did a beautiful job. I can't imagine a better place to curl up with a good book than this reading nook with the Hogwarts mural.
