Ask any fan of Harry Potter how to get to the Hogwarts Express train and the answer will be, “You run straight towards and through Platform 9 and three quarters”. This is common knowledge among anyone who was taught at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, but it wasn’t to a certain young wizard with a scar on his forehead.
Fortunately for Harry, he overheard a family talking about Platform 9-3/4 and was able to ask them for help. It was this one event that forever changed Harry’s life in several ways. First, it took him to Hogwarts, the place where he truly belonged. Second, he met Ron Weasley, who would become Harry’s friend for life.
This is a beautifully done tattoo of this famous platform. The colors are lovely, and it shows what most young witches or wizards would take with them on their trip through the door from Muggle life to wizard life: a trunk full of clothes and supplies, a briefcase for school, and a cage for the student’s chosen animal – in this case an owl’s cage.
