A couple of weeks ago I decided that I wanted to go to Universal Studio's Wizarding World of Harry Potter with my girls, so we left on a Friday afternoon after school got out. One of the benefits of being an annual pass holder is that we can go whenever we want, even if it's for a few hours.
We arrived at dinnertime so we headed to The Leaky Cauldron for a delicious dinner. We enjoyed our meals, but towards the end we had an unexpected treat - we met a wonderful family who was visiting the park from out-of-state.
We started talking with the family and asked them various questions about how their visit was going. They were having a great time and shared several stories with us about their time in the park. Then came the biggest treat of all - Joe (the dad) showed us a video of his very first experience tasting Butterbeer.
For those of you who don't know (and that's probably not very many of you), Butterbeer is the nonalcoholic drink enjoyed by Harry Potter and the other kids at Hogwarts when they took trips into Hogsmeade. Universal Studios concocted a real-life Butterbeer that they sell in both Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley. You can buy it frozen like a slushy, cold like a soda, or hot like hot cocoa. Butterbeer is incredibly sweet and you will either love it or hate it.
Which brings me back to Joe. He kindly gave me permission to share his video, and I thank him for that because his reaction was priceless and worth sharing with other Harry Potter fans. Watch and enjoy!
