In 2017 a book was published called Harry Potter: A History Of Magic. The book was a wonderful insight into the bits of real history that both inspired author J.K. Rowling and was included in her Harry Potter books.
The book is wonderful, and I highly recommend it for any Potterhead. What is even better is that the BBC created a documentary based on the book, and includes author Rowling, as well as several actors from the movie series.
The documentary aired in the United States on April 11, 2018. The American fandom was very excited about this, but to tell the truth, it made me sad. Why? Because we do not have cable or any way to watch TV (meaning, we don’t have an antenna).
Fortunately, my sadness was short-lived when a friend shared a link with me on where I could watch the show online. Turns out that the channel that aired the show is now making it available to watch on their website. Even better, you don’t need a cable account to watch it, something that other channels often require. Yeah!
So if you are like me and couldn’t watch because you didn’t have cable, you didn’t know about it at the time, or simply forgot to watch or record it, here’s your chance to see what the fuss is all about. And, trust me, it is worth the fuss. You can watch it here: http://www.cwtv.com/shows/more-video
The link I just shared is to a variety of shows that the CW channel have aired. The documentary was at the top of this list on the day I published this post, but it is possible that this will change over time, so you might need to scroll through the list of shows or search for it. I don’t know if the CW will eventually remove the show but hopefully it will be there for a good long time.
