I have been an annual passholder to theme parks for almost 20 years. First, it was to Disney World and now it’s to Universal Studios. Many passholders, myself included, use a lanyard to keep track of passes and other park-related documents.
I’ve cycled through several different lanyards but they have all had the same thing in common, and that is that my pass and documents are all kept in a plastic pouch. Which works, but it also means that everything is jumbled in a single place. I have to shuffle through my items to find the one I’m looking for at any given moment.
MY PREVIOUS LANYARD
Here is what my most recent lanyard looked like. It showed off my Ravenclaw pride but it also looked a bit unsightly in pictures when I’d forget to tuck it in my clothes or take it off.
See the plastic pouch? Of course, you can, but all you can see is my pass and if I flipped it over then all you would see is another document, but not anything in between them. Here are all the documents that I had inside the pouch.
Did you count the items? There are a total of six. That means four were hidden behind the other two. I knew there had to be a better way and then I saw the new RFID Deluxe Zip ID Case from Vera Bradley’s latest Harry Potter line called Forbidden Forest and knew I’d found my answer.
MY NEW FORBIDDEN FOREST RFID DELUXE ZIP ID CASE AND LANYARD
The ID case and lanyard are sold separately so I had to buy both, but it was so worth it! They arrived today and here is how they looked before I moved everything to it.
What you can’t see from that picture is that it snap open, similar to a wallet, and also has a pocket that zips open and shut. It didn’t take me long to add everything. Now I can easily access my annual pass, my daughter’s annual pass, my photo pass, or the other documents that we use, and they all have their own place.
Here is how the inside of my ID case looks. I’ve put our annual passes in the window, which can be seen from both sides. The photo pass and an important business card are in the two card slots.
Here is how the ID case looks when I flipped it over, so you see outside of it when it’s not snapped shut.
I put the two remaining documents inside the zip pocket. I was happy that they fit in there because they were too big for the card slots. Even better, the zip pocket has a divider so I put one on each side of the divider.
One of the things that I love about Vera Bradley products is how thoughtful they are. The ID case snaps shut so that the items that it contains can’t accidentally fall out. I didn’t expect the zippered compartment to have a divider, but it’s useful and something that I will absolutely use. This is one of many Vera Bradley items that I own and I’ve become a bit obsessed with them. I look forward to adding more to my collection.
You can get this for yourself. Remember, the lanyard is sold separately so if you see an ID case then you’ll need to get the strap to go with it. Also, there is a regular ID case that is just a single zippered compartment and doesn’t fold open as this one does. Be aware of that as you browse eBay. Lastly, as of this writing, Vera Bradley has released three Harry Potter designs so you are likely to see those as well as the Forbidden Forest design seen here when you click the eBay link below.
