Earlier today my family and I went out to lunch at our local Applebee's restaurant. We hit them at the height of their lunch rush and had to wait a while before we were seated. We sat in the waiting area, trying not to think about how hungry we were.
At one point my daughter Lily told me to look at something. When I turned my head and looked at what she was pointing at, I was pleasantly surprised to see a couple of Harry Potter items on the backpack worn by a young lady who was also waiting for a table.
I politely asked her if I could take a few pictures of her backpack, and she kindly said, "Yes." Here are the pictures that I took. Can you see the Harry Potter adornments?
Chances are you can see one of them. Here is the easier of the two to see. It is a pin of Hermione Granger, Harry Potter, and Ron Weasley. It looks homemade to me, and I can't help but wonder if she made it herself. I'm kicking myself for not asking when I had the chance.
There is one more item on this backpack - a Ravenclaw patch.
What a fun way to decorate your backpack! My two girls were impressed. When we got home my older daughter Willow told me that she wanted to do something similar. If she does, I'll be sure to share it!
