When Harry Potter visited Diagon Alley for the first time at age 11, shortly after he learned that he was a wizard, Rubeus Hagrid gave a birthday gift to Harry. Hagrid's gift was a female snowy owl that Harry named Hedwig.
Hedwig was Harry's constant companion throughout the series, and kept Harry company during the long, boring summers he spent at with the Dursleys. Unfortunately, Uncle Vernon made Harry keep Hedwig locked up in her cage, something she resented and she took out her anger by ignoring Harry.
Hedwig was sometimes moody, but she always came around eventually and was there for Harry. She even gave her life to save Harry in the film version of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I've made it easy if you want to dress up in a Hedwig outfit, either for yourself or your child. From her white feathers to her black beak, here are all the items you need to dress up in a Hedwig costume!
There are two types of product links on this page:
- Picture Link - If you can click on a picture it will take you directly to that item on a site like Amazon or Etsy. It is possible that the item is no longer available for sale from the seller I have linked the picture to, which is why I created the second type of link.
- Site Link - When you click on a link to an online store, such as Amazon, eBay, or Etsy, it will take you to that site so you can compare prices for the item seen in the picture. Or, if you are looking at a costume then you might see items similar to the one seen in the picture so you choose the one you like best.
Do you live outside the United States?
Although some items on Amazon can be shipped world wide, you will probably have the best luck with eBay and Etsy. Click here to see how to know if an item from those three sites can be shipped outside the U.S.A., as well as how you can buy items found and have them shipped to you even if the store you buy from doesn't ship to your country.(Clicking this will open a new window so you won't lose the page you are currently on.)
